Inaugurated on the year of 1973, the Hotel Alcazar, very singular and peculiar due to its arabic architecture, is located in the monte gordo bay in the south eastern part of the algarve ( sotavento ), province of Portugal well known for its beaches of white sands, its priviledged climate with 300 sunny days/year, and for its temperated waters, ideal for the practice of various nautic sports.

The Hotel Alcazar is composed by 8 floors with 119 rooms, most of them, 54 in total are suites for 4 persons, all with satellite tv, safes, telephone, air conditioned, musis, full bathroom and balconies with sea view. 24 of these rooms of new construction are equipped with mini-bars, hair-dryers, connection for pc and internet, and 8 suite with hydro-bath.

Hotel Alcazar is situated 3 kms. from vila real de santo antonio, young city of " pombalina " architecture, where you may find a bus terminal, railway station, and the new sports complex. The town of monte gordo is located 50 kms from faro international airport, 9 kms from the spanish border, ayamonte ( through the bridge over the guadiana river), and one hour and a half from seville. So hotel alcazar and its guests are, easily connected to the rest of the world.
