Oceânico O'Connor Golf Course, perfectly complements the Faldo Course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil, in contrast to the arid hillside, this course offers no less of a challenge, requiring accurate play.|The front 9 holes encounter a number of lakes, the 3rd being recognized by a Moorish relic situated on a island in the adjacent lake. Holes 7, 8 and 9 offer a particular challenge, where the water hazards could force a lack of concentration. Hole-10 leads play away from the northern boundary, setting up the challenge for the inward nine. Large bodies of water and meandering watercourses will test players all the way to the 18th.

Amendoeira always provides a consistent quality every time we visit the Algarve. A few things to note this year though....no range balls in the machine however this was quickly resolved by the team and free balls handed out to all those waiting. Wild Boars have/are tearing up certain areas of the course. The greens had not been cut or the dew whiffed away the morning we played which was disappointing and we never saw the refreshments cart during the 5hr round. The O'Connor was in OK condition which in hindsight was much better than way more expensive courses we played later that week. A solid 7/10 and a good addition to any golf trip.

it takes to much time, to much waiting time. Service at the reception of the golf club not friendly at all. And nowadays you have to bring your gofbag down to the buggies youself and it is quiet a walk to go there. Very bad service. Food in the restaurant and service is not good anymore. One can feel the new management of the whole thing and it is not positive.

Course was nice, but affected by lack of water.
Good facilities.

A spacious course in good condition. Certainly number 2 compared to the partner course and also a bit easier to play.

Good service in all areas.
Good course but tees and especially bunkers were poor.

The course has gone down in the last few years since I played it last. Tee boxes were in very poor condition overgrown with weeds. With scutch grass growing through the normal grass. Fairways fair and greens not too bad. Overall it is not up to standard. Clubhouse and general staff a bit nonchalant. Overall I wont be back to either Faldo or o'Connor and I would not recommend either at the price.

Course, greens and tees to a high standard, was the best of the 4 courses we played, one negative was the beer was off, unusually for us no-one finished their pint

Fairways and greens in good condition but tee box in pretty bad shape.
I liked the course (1st visit) and would consider playing there again.
GPS on buggy was not working and it seems the case on all buggies. Quite a shame.
