Nearly 5 hours to play a round of golf, waiting on most holes, behind very slow players. Course in decent condition, but lots of unrepaired pitch marks on greens. Very limited practice facilities prior to 10am, on Thursday. Buggy hire €55, very expensive for a single player.

Very nice course. Challenging layout. Maybe too much driver off the tee and does not require mixing up clubs, but the approach shots vary. Could be very hard if windy. Nice pra tice area for driving range no chipping area/ bunkers and poor putting area.

Quinta do Lago as always was well presented and we enjoyed the golfing experience. The one negative note was that when we went to the dining area to eat after the golf, it was closed for a private function. I don't have a difficulty with it being closed but it would have been nice if we had been informed that food would not be available at the clubhouse when we finished the golf.

This was an awful experience. The bus didn’t arrive at its time of 9.30. We waited for an hour and it was still a no show. Quinta kept saying the bud is outside but it wasn’t. We had to then get taxis as tee time was approaching and had to pay for the first 2 taxis ourselves. Then Quinta said they pay for the rest of the taxis. The bus pulled into the hotel as the last taxi left for the course. The whole experience was a rush and nobody got to use practice facilities etc and it was a big rush onto the course. It kind of ruined the day to be honest. The course/facilities and clubhouse were amazing as always but the transport just let it all down

Fantastic course, great service, totally enjoyed my round, but still the same old problem of discrimination against disabled golfers by taking buggies of holes too far from greens and not allowing them on par 3 holes, this completely spoils the round for people who can’t walk more than 50 yards at a time.

Very difficult golf course owing to the nature of the greens design but in excellent condition. Main bar area closed for refurbishment. 50 euros for a buggy is a little expensive as they are necessary because some of the walks between the greens and tees are huge. Great test of golf overall

The North course was in excellent condition as always and the staff from shop to the dining area were all very helpful. One of our buggies gps was not working and the problem was resolved quickly. The reason it doesn't get 10/10 is the prices of merchandise in the shop, everything is about 40% more expensive than it is in a normal retailer or online but we knew this from visiting previously.

Again the rangers do alot of driving and not much else and sadly you do not need any handicap requirements to play what is a pretty difficult course.

Overall the course was great. Still some comments. The fairway crass was very short. I like to play more soft and longer crass fairways. Some distances to next teebox were quite long, we used trolleys because we want to move ourselves. Especially the walk from last hole to clubhouse was a littlebit confusing. Anyway, the course and its fairways offered unforgettable experiences.

Excellent course....but greatly disappointed with the pace of play. We teed off at 2.16 and it took 2 hours 45 minutes to play the front 9!! That's exasperating. Overall it took over 5 hours to complete the 18 holes. Afterwards, I mentioned this to the proshop assistant and he just smiled and said that's how it is!

Not as good as the South but better than Laranjal. Really enjoyed the course and the greens are great. The on course management is brilliant, we had a 4 ball in front that were slow and as soon as this happened the marshals sat on them until they were back on track. Some of the par 4s are a bit short, but this was okay as other courses we played were thee opposite. Love all the Quinta's they are great courses.

Somewhat disappointed given the hype surrounding the upgrade of the course. The club house was closed for refurbishment, and there was considerable maintenance being undertaken on the course, if we had known this we would have chosen to play elsewhere particularly as this was the most expensive of the courses played.
