Silves Golf Course
Silves Golf Course is anything but the proverbial walk in the park. Target golf reigns supreme. A drive at the opening hole has to flirt with two water hazards on both flanks. A heroic and straight shot will reward the player with an easy uphill approach shot.|Silves encourages and rewards attacking play. It has a natural beauty and an elegant design. The excellent condition, all year round, is ideal for low scoring. A relentless test in precision, this course has no peers. It is the 'archetype' of man-sized parkland golf.|Most holes offer a spectacular mountain and valley view, overlooking palm trees and olive groves. You may even pick a few oranges or even figs along the way to the next tee. The severity of the bunkering is enough defence against the onslaught of the games big guns.

This a a good course with lots of elevation changes and elevated tees meaning some of the holes look spectacular from the tee. The tee boxes and fairways were in good condition but some of the greens had bare patches that had been sanded. At least the pin positions were placed away from these patches to make putting possible. The new clubhouse is a vast improvement on the old one and a great addition to the course.

Another well organised Chez Carlos round, course is a lovely layout but unfortunately a few greens were bare of grass and heavily sanded, hopefully will improve quickly but made putts bobble a lot.

Very slow round, waiting at least 10 minutes on every tee. Nice clubhouse, catering and buggy staff very friendly, Pro-Shop indifferent. Prefer other courses.

Nice greens, fairways good. We don’t like the clubhouse architecture. Staff is gentle

*Undulated - Rolling fairways, not steep
*Dogleg - A few gentle dog legs
*Exposed - Generally wind playing a part on difficulty
*Buggy Recommended - If Essential
*Water hazards - a few water hazards ,especially on the par 5 , 13th hole
*Parkland - typicall algarve landsscape
*Signature Hole - 13th, par 5
*Comments - New course,reasonable value
