Salgados Golf Course
Salgados Golf Course, situated in one of the best-known regions of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, and is already a 'postcard' of Portugual golf courses. In fact, the proximity of the sea and the variety of lakes make this a very unique and interesting test of golfing skills, different from other courses in the Algarve.|The 6,000 metre links, replete with water obstacles, is not very long, but the sea breeze obliges players to use all theyr skills to reach the greens. The accuracy of the drive is crucial for achieving good scores, thus making the course a pleasant experience, especially for technically-skilled player.

The starter talled me, that we're too late
They had wrong tee time
We had to discuss, but afterwards we could start abd all was fine

We were disapointed with the recent maintenance work carried out on the course, the greens were heavily sanded, so not good, and club management did not advise of the course condition prior to our round

Only one problem. A fourball that stopped for lunch after 9 were slotted back in on 10 as we left the 9th green. They were very slow and wouldn’t let us through (we were a 2 ball). They were also very poor golfers. Poor decision to allow this. Marshall did nothing to resolve this even though I highlighted the problem. Bit of a shame.

Fairways would definitely benefit from more watering .
Sand in bunkers very stoney and coarse.
Very challenging for a higher handicapper like myself who was also off their game and lost far too many balls otherwise , we’re lucky to be out here playing these courses.

I enjoy playing Salgados, but the tee time at 2.00pm was too late. We also trailed a slow group so the round took 4 hours 50 minutes and by the time we finished all the earlier groups had left. Would much prefer tee times to be earlier 11.00 to 12.00 and the group less than 40 players so the early starters have not all left when finished.

Lovely clubhouse , course very average , to expensive for a average course , Algarve golf may price it’s self out the market in near future

*Buggy Recommended - If Essential
*Signature Hole - 6th par 5
*Water hazards - On every hole, being this courses theme
*Tree Lined - New Palm trees giving a nice feature
*Exposed - Yes, very. Wind direction playing a major part
*Dogleg - Winding round water
*Comments - a Unique golf course Good value
