Álamos Golf Course
Lying to the north of Portimão it is a neighbor of another Algarve Golf Course, Morgado do Reguengo. When playing Álamos golf course, players can enjoy great views of the Monchique mountains, lakes, and farmland, there is a real sense of getting away from it all there. It’s shorter than Morgado (Par 71) but it has all the features necessary to fulfill the expectations of the most demanding player. More than a test of golf, the Alamos Golf course attests to the harmony which may be achieved between the man-made and nature itself.Undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and steeply sloping greens define this wonderful golf course.Pray that your put is hot and the reward is guaranteed

We were disappointed to be told that no buggies were available. Thankfully the staff at the course resolved the issue and got us the buggies. We were told that none had been reserved for us so we had to wait until they became available.

Great course but a little disappointed to be told 20 min before teeing off that there were no buggies as per booking

Due to resent rain course was still a bit wet and some bunkers were not playable. For the rest a good challenge and a nice layout.

Greens are too difficult to enjoy the round. They are hard and do not receive the ball; and in addition they are slow. Green keeper should improve them.

The prices in the Restaurant were reasonable unlike the pro-shop where golfers are ''treated'' to prices higher than in the UK.

Shop and staff were great but the course was a bit disappointing.
It was a very hot day so I would suggest they need a drinks cart which we had to call for.

Alamos is a retort with various shell ruins in the middle of nowhere. The layout of the golf course is actually very interesting.
Unfortunately, there have been huge water problems for a long time. This is evidenced by the fact that virtually all the waterways have dried up completely and the fairways have hardly any grass left. Only the greens are kept ''alive'' in a makeshift way. The clubhouse cannot score any plus points here either. As long as the water situation does not change decisively, unfortunately not worth a visit!

Reasonable course, easy layout. Greens and bunkers better than most. Fairways starved of water.
*Exposed - Wind conditions affect club selection
*Buggy Recommended - Recommended due to back 9
*Water hazards - Stream running through course, well defined
*Parkland - Hilly terrain, with rolling fairways
*Signature Hole - 14th par5 stroke 2
*Comments - Quiet inland course, great experience
