Morgado golf course the new home of the Portuguese Open, part of the European Tour tournaments Set in a valley in the inner Algarve, between Portimão and Monchique. Morgado golf course is equally challenge for those taking their first steps in golf as for the more experienced golf player, who would like to test his technique. The scorecard shows a PAR 73, but Morgado golf course path length is attenuated by the generous width of fairways. However, less accurate strokes may be penalized by the action of one of several bunkers spread across the golf course. We can say that Morgado golf course is a golf course with the characteristics of a links - with flat fairways and Scottish inspiration bunkers - but instead of being close to the shore as traditional links, it is inserted into an area of Algarve parkland. Surrounded by the region traditional tree species, the player who visits Morgado golf course contacts with a different Algarve, calm and serene, providing the perfect setting for a memorable golf round.

Beautiful setting & course with lovely wide fairways....ideal for the not so skilled golfer! Greens were like carpet. Clubhouse Okay & food was tasty. However, a long winding driveway made for a depressing first impression as there were many large drab unfinished, run down apartments on the approach. Many of these could also be seen as you made your way around the golf course. Having a meal afterwards overlooking the course your eye is yet again taken with a very sad looking incomplete structure.....pity. I would still recommend the course itself as it is very well maintained.

With high temperatures in the Algarve, Morgado's fairways reach temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius, but the course remains in excellent playing conditions, as a result of the improved work of the maintenance team. Players are advised to choose to play early in the morning.

Course was really nice, but our transfers were 20-25 minutes late so we didn’t have time to look around and practice before hand

Alamos and Margado were two courses which I wouldn´t play again as there are plenty of nicer courses there.

A very dry course, fairways in need of a good water and only in May! Beautiful countryside but a shame ruined views of many unfinished/derelict buildings! Nice greens and a snack buggy en route!

A nice and relatively easy course. Some tee boxes not very good but fairways and greens in a good condition.

Decent facilities but not memorable
*Parkland - Total
*Undulated - Rolling terrain more hilly on the back 9
*Buggy Recommended - Recommended due to back 9
*Signature Hole - 14th
*Water hazards - On both 9's, but all visable
*Exposed - Wind direction and speed, play a big part in club selection
*Dogleg - Slight ones on the back 9
*Comments - Inland course, very good value for money
