1 round at Castro Marim and 1 round at Quinta do Vale and 1 round at Valle Guadiana Links (Spain).
The Quinta do Vale golf course, which has been designed with the interests of the adjacent property complex in mind, is sure to attract golfers of every level and is a strong candidate for hosting important international championships. Covering an area of 75 hectares, the course is fully integrated into the surrounding natural landscape, taking full advantage of the irregularities of the terrain which give a unique personality to each of the 18 holes.|The ambition with which it was designed is evident in the unusual way that the different holes balance each other out and in the singular features which complement and differentiate them: embankments, lakes, bunkers, hillocks, hollows…. A highly attractive course which is characterised by various levels of difficulty that will be a challenge to beginners and test the skill of more experienced players.
Friendly service and challenging course
Lot of wind to make it a a little hard to. Play thuis course
First time playing the course. Nice layout with some challenging Par 5’s especially with the wind blowing from the north. Good playing conditions for the winter season except the bunkers. Overall good value for money even though not a must play.
Anton van Doorn
Windy, but in reasenable condition
Very busy. Course in good condition.
Great design great shape very challenging and original 6 par 3 6 par 4 and 6 par 5
Nice layout for this Seve Ballesteros signature course but the fairways and the rough need a lote of love. There's a lot of water on the first nine. Bring a lot of balls.
Tough course with danger everywhere but fair if you are accurate.
Difficult golfcourse. Good fairways en Nice greens. A lot of water
Lovely game of golf in the sunshine!
Excellent but rather difficult course First and second nine holes have each a very different character.
Great course, had to plot your way round some holes and the wind also making it a tough knock. Course in great condition, greens had just been top dressed but running true
Dr. Ulrich Meseck
Challenging course, Services o.k.
This is a visually stunning and challenging golf course that posed a real challenge to our party of all abilities especially in the windy conditions. I posted my best ever score on the course which clearly enhanced my experience. Our 7 handicap golfer came second best to our 10 handicap golfer on the day and consequently lost the trophy! However he lives the course and the challenge it provides
I booked through tee times late on Sunday, received my voucher early on Monday morning and was on the tee-box at 10.30 Monday morning. evening. No problems at all. Quinta do Vale has some quite difficult holes for higher handicap golfers.
Great course. Lovely friendly staff.
Exciting design with huge variation. Coming back for 3:d year. Maintenance improving - very good conditions now. Friendly staff.
Course conditions were good if a little tired in places. Thanks to the course manager for getting us past 2 very slow groups of ladies
Ina van der Hout
Here we had to play with two other people. The course is rather difficult with lots of water.
Teetimes PT were very helpful in arranging my tee time at Quinta do Vale. I would definitely recommend using them.
Lovely course and clubhouse. Need to book buggy in advance they don’t have many. Sadly villas line the course which have been left to ruin, some not even finished being built. Very laid back and relaxed play.
Course in excellent condition staff welcoming very efficient food service very good tasty snacks clubhouse clean with great views
Nice course with very frienly staff
This is a great course but very tough. Unless you can find the fairways take plenty of ball. Would definitely visit again
Very helpful staff. Lunch good value in the clubhouse. Challenging course. Well presented fairways and greens. Back nine holes in our view better than front nine for interest. Shame about the unfinished nature of the resort as the backdrop of half finished villas detracts from some beautiful vistas.
Course and staff all very helpful and friendly. Our golf left much to be desired!
Sehr schöner und sehr gepflegter Kurs. Ersten 9 mit viel Wasserhindernissen. Gefühlt Millionen von Mücken. Sanitären Anlagen kastrophal.
Great course in great condition
Lovely course really challenging but worth playing
A longish course, eats balls for fun on the first 7 holes then opens out a little. A couple of really testing par 5 holes and, typical of Portuguese courses, almost every par 3 is a long one.
Difficult place, which is rather deffensive to play. Very nice course with nice views over the course.
Die Organisation der Startzeiten hat Defizite. Wir hatten ab Tee 10 lange Wartezeiten .
Mr Kevin R Mann
Fantastic course but some very difficult holes with lots of water around!
Much enjoyed and course empty.
Baan heeft upgrade ondergaan. Uitdagende baan en vriendelijk personeel. Zeer zeker de moeite waard voor een prima prijs.
Baan enorm verbeterd tov vorig jaar. Baan waar baanmanagement belangrijker is dan ver slaan. Eerlijke prijs prima gastvrij personeel. Top greens. We hebben genoten.
Robert D Devine
Front nine is flat with lots of water. Most holes are a long slog. Greens on this this nine were mostly poor. The second nine is laid out over a more hilly area. Holes here are more pleasant to play. Greens on this nine were very good. Not a course I would take a group back to. Course generally is very difficult for mid to high handicappers.
Easy booking, great course with wonderful views. The staff was polite and helpful.
Got a bit wet and cold on front nine and they allowed us to have coffee and chips to warm up before continuing with back nine!
ADRIAN FRASER JONES
Really enjoyed the course and the views from the clubhouse.
Lovely course, great fun
Mr A van Doorn
To many people on the golfcourse. We make 5,5 hour on 18 holes. The price of a golfset we asked was 35 euro for old and very often used Cobra golfset
Course was nice and empty. A typical Seve design. We found the front 9 tough with lots of water broughtinto paly by the fresh breeze. Quite walkable, although one long walk on the back 9 (from 16 to 17?). We would play it again if in the area.
Good golf course
I like the golfcourse very much , because how it is situated and variety of the holes
Beautiful day .. disappointed by condition ofbunkers compressed because of machine rakers . Need more maintenance very untidy
It is a good course with nice and special layout. It is really fun to play it.
Greens in much better condition than 1 week go. Staff extremely helpful & sent us off as a 2 Ball off 14th to beat slower playing groups...….. Love the course & layout as 2 fantastic contrasting 9s. A real challenge & excellent value for money. A must visit as far as we are concerned in the eastern Algarve. Will return as low handicap golfers.
Thunderstorms Only played 9 Good Course Greens a little patchy
Course in poor condition, very slow and bumpsy greens
Miquel Torres Oliver
Even though we had a very rainy day, the course was enjoyable and masterfully designed. You need to plot your way in between dozens of water hazards so it is challenging even for low hcp golfers. High hcp golfers may have a tough round and loose a considerable amount of balls. The views of the valley are great except for the series of abandoned buildings since the financial crash in 2007, which is a pity. The staff is kind and helpful and the greenfees and bar prices are very affordable.
Fairways excellwnt. Greens in a bad shape. Overall: Good golfcorse
Thanks for your help, all went well
we loved the golf course and the views are spectacular. Very tough test of golf as you really have to work out the positioning of each shot, great course. The only complaint was the greens, they are in unbelievably poor condition. Quite the worst greens we have ever played on in Portugal. many thanks, Marie Harpur
Good value, two rounds of golf and a buggy 117 euro, and a course in very good condition.
The course was in poor shape. Greens were spongy ( a number of balls plugged on the green), bare patches and very bumpy. Bunkers were worse, compacted and like concrete or no sand at all with only one or two exceptions. The organisation was superb as usual though! Thanks Ron!
Very good course
Excellent value even if we did have to start off the 10th and then the 11 th!
The course was very busy but the staff worked very hard to help us get round quickly. I was very impressed with their service
Tough and challenging. Lots of water
Very impressive. Great service and straight in the course
Nice interesting course, quite a lot of water which made it challenging. In good condition
Excellent course, well maintained. Very enjoyable experience
best condition I have ever seen it.
Top class. Easy booking and a great course.
Rob van Gameren
A nice and challenging golf course with beautiful views towards the river.
Excellent service as usual
Difficult.and challenging golf course it very enjoyable experience
Staff very friendly. Course good, although the later greens needed some work.
Nice course, with hardly any players on it! Lots of water and it can be tricky if you are wayward off the tee!
Not busy, but very difficult when it is windy
Nice course but not so easy :)
Superb condition. Staff excellent
Great course and spectacular golf challenge
Played Quinta Do Vale on 20 April 2018. Great test of golf. Lots of water on front nine which makes you think about your second shots. Course in excellent condition. Designed by Seve Ballesteros. Unique in the fact that it has 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s. A real good test for players of all levels. Highly Recommended.
good challenge nice course
Golf course very dry and except the green in pour condition. All around the fairways without maintenance. Bridges partly broken. Buggys and trolleys better to reserve in advance. We got no buggy and lousy trolleys. Unfortunately we have booked second round for march 2nd.
Greens are fine, but everywhere else to dry Very difficult front nine
A difficult course, but very enjoyable.
Richard K Emm
Fairways were a bit tired but a good challenging course
Other than the compacted bunkers the course was in good condition
Quinta do Vale Golf Course is a fantastic layout greens were fantastic , unfortunately the bunkers need a lot of attention
fine trek but bunkers were horrendous. Everything else great
Everything was perfect!
Excellent condition. Demanding course I would like to play more.
Lovely course but needs knowing with regard to clubbing, ditches, dog legs & water hazards.......not much really!!! Would play again, but marshalls really need to get a grip. Played behind some people who need to go on practice field rather than on a golf course, even though having a playing lesson with a German Pro!!!
Heavy storms curtailed the first round there after 9 holes, but they offered to let me play the remaining 9 on another day. Second round there, no problems. The furniture on the terrace is in a poor state, should have been replaced before now..
The course was in good condition and the greens were as good as I can recall. The only thing that let the course down was the wet compacted bunkers
Very nice location Beatiful golf course I will surely play again on that course Best regard
A tough course if you can’t hit the ball well. The yardage’s are critical. Play well - score well. Steve Balesteros designed a thinking Course.
Overall a good experience. Course good, would have liked a choice on which course we played but it is the busy season. Was the most expensive buggy hire that we paid over 5 previous rounds and there was no ice in the cooler box!. Planned to have a meal following our game but they had stopped serving when we got back, Teed off at 13.30
Very good course available at an unbeatable price. Efficient staff at the desk, and we were able to start slightly early so that we could complete our round.
A. van Doorn
Frontdesk friendly Buggy good Fairways good Greens good.

To many players on the course. We played more then 5 hours!!!
Great course, not easy. Staff were fantastic, loved it.

Nos ha gustado mucho , es divertido y complicado. No te deja indiferente. Recomendable buggy sobre todo en la segunda vuelta. Buen estado de mantenimiento. Volveremos
A. van Doorn
Front desk friendly Buggy good Greens very good Fairway good. Rather difficult but nice course. All together prima!
Challenging course with two very different nines. Ended up walking as my reserved buggy was not available. Pace of play again poor with no ranger. Summed up by four matches queued on 18th tee! Still worth another visit though.
Mr Stephen Macguffie
An interesting challenge in good condition. Well worth a second visit.
Great golf course, nobody playing it, millionaires golf!.
Fantastic golf course but lacked some water. A bit hot when I was there 45degrees. But service was excellent
Excellent, never seen it in better shape
Top class course at reasonable price
Much better than I remembered it from last year - a tough course to get used to
Most enjoyable, not very busy.
A. van Doorn
Too many people on the course. Very slow playing!!
A. van Doorn
Too many people on the course. !!
Unfortunately they had cut the reeds and so many balls rolled in to the water! Benemor in excellent condition
I've also played recently at Quinta do Vale, which is excellent value for money compared to other courses in the Algarve, Give it a try!
The buggies were in excellent condition and the course was in great shape
A. van Doorn
Good golfcourse to day Best in the region
too much water for me!
Had a nice welcome in reception and they politely warned us if we had enough balls. The first 6 holes are pretty tough and it is easy to see why they asked us about having enough balls as there are water hazards everywhere !!. That said, it does become easier after the initial 6 holes and i found it a lovely course which was Seve's last design before he sadly passed away.My favourite course out of the 4 we played and i think once you have played it once you will find it easier to play the second time round. 8/10
A very under utilised course at good price
This was booked as a bit of a make weight, at least that is what we thought. The front 9 can feel a bit unfair almost every shot feels like it is over water, but the back 9 is great. The greens were as good as any we had played in Portugal. I would ask people to make the effort to go out and play it, the course needs money and it will be brilliant.
Fun as usual and cooperative staff
Looking a bit tired. But we love the test

Difficult Course but well preparerd

Difficult but well prepared course
Althugh course was very wet it did not spoil the golf. This couse is quite demanding and requires you to think before you take what looks like an easy shot. Reception was very good and helpful Will return.
