A very beautiful course with varied fairways. Something completely different in this area – flat and relatively numerous water hazards. Everything is surrounded by many tall palm trees. Only the tee boxes are covered with the wrong type of grass. Too long and uneven. The greens need a bit more maintenance – the wrong type of grass is showing through here as well. Unfortunately, there's no range – just a net for hitting your own balls. The food in the clubhouse and the service from the staff were very good. Between 7 and 8, but very special...so 8 :-)

Nice moderately challenging course. Some very interesting holes with a lot of water and some less interesting holes. Greens in good condition and reasonably fast, but tee boxes weren't in great condition (on the 10th grass was covering the white tee markers making it impossible to tee off from there). Very slow pace of play with no marshals or HCP requirement and we were asked to delay our tee time for 15mins as the course was backed up. We followed a group of 16 that all watched each other tee of on par 3s to do a nearest the pin which added ~1hr to the round. 8 minutes between tee times was too little for the quality of golfers and their etiquette on the course. Putting green and nets were good. Short game area was unmaintained. Nice clubhouse, with good selection of food and drinks. Would recommend this course if you are with some friends who don't play regularly and your staying in Albufiera, otherwise avoid and go for any of the many better courses in the Algarve.

Ein besonderer Golfplatz voller Palmen und mit Wasser an jedem Loch. Wenn man den Schlag verzieht, braucht man nur sehr selten zu suchen, meist ist er einfach im Wasser und damit verloren. Leider waren sehr viele Gruppen unterwegs und wir brauchten dennoch mehr als 5 Stunden für eine Runde.

On arrival we were not told in reception that we would need to start on the 10th tee box, only when we picked up the buggies five minutes before our tee time. the course was way over booked. it took us 40 minutes to play two holes (10th and 11th). when on the 5th holes the group behind us hit the ball right on top of us, nearly hitting up. This group were very loud and shouting where being drunk. No ranger in sight. We will not be coming back to Salgado's again and will advice our friends the same.

In reasonably good condition when we played 4/9/25. Tee boxes are very spongy type grass. Unusual! Position off tee vital here and driver not necessary every hole. All in all not a bad experience with good buggies and friendly staff

This was a first visit for us as we usually play the Vilamoura courses. (Takes about 40 mins in cab) Good set up and terrace for pre-round drinks. If you dont like water on the course, this isnt the place for you! The photos dont tell the full story, there is water on almost every hole. We scored well but it makes you think, especially as the wind was blowing in the afternoon - beware. Great test, defo worth a visit. (handicaps for our group 11-18)

Played twice May 2025. Course has had alot of work done recently and can still see evidence of it in places but course is still very good. The greens are immaculate and have a good pace on them. Challanging course with all the water but good. We did have a bit pressure put on us to speed up as the 3 and 2 ball ahead of us had gained a hole but understandably seen as we were a 4 ball. Not ideal feeling like you have to race around the course as it takes the fun out of it and personally made me play poor due to lack of concentration. All in all a great course though and would play again

At first, the lady at the Proshop counter asked us to pay for our green fees, we had to tell her that we had paid for them in advance. I was disappointed that our golf package didn’t not include the golf cart (buggy). Other than that, we had a good overall experience at Solgado golf course. I wish they would provide drinking water on the course.

A very nice course directly at the sea. Some challenging waterholes. Beautiful setting with a lot of palm trees. Unfortunately not in a great shape - I assume due to the wheater. But absolutely worth playing. Extremely friendly staff.

Wegen Umbauarbeiten waren nur 9 Loch spielbar und die dann 2 x. Es gab weder eine Vorankündigung noch eine Mitteilung vor dem Start an der Golf-Rezeption. Wir haben es von ortskundigen Mitspielern an Tee 1 erfahren. Eine Servicekraft mit buggybar wollte uns an einer Engstelle am Abschlag zwingen zurück zu setzen, obwohl sie uns frühzeitig gesehen hatte und wir schon aufgeteet hatten... unmögliches Verhalten...

Only one problem. A fourball that stopped for lunch after 9 were slotted back in on 10 as we left the 9th green. They were very slow and wouldn’t let us through (we were a 2 ball). They were also very poor golfers. Poor decision to allow this. Marshall did nothing to resolve this even though I highlighted the problem. Bit of a shame.

I enjoy playing Salgados, but the tee time at 2.00pm was too late. We also trailed a slow group so the round took 4 hours 50 minutes and by the time we finished all the earlier groups had left. Would much prefer tee times to be earlier 11.00 to 12.00 and the group less than 40 players so the early starters have not all left when finished.

I did make it clear that my wife was not an experienced golfer and that we would want to play in a 2 ball. They tried to put us in a 4 ball but at the last minute found a 2 ball slot. The booking was otherwise perfect and all the pickups were right on time.

First time playing this course and it was very impressive. The course was in excellent condition throughout and a decent pace of play was kept. The only downside for us was that the kitchens were closed when we finished.our round at 05-30pm so we could not get any food.

Excellent greens that hold shots, fairways in very good condition with nice grass, however course was saturated due to heavy rains recently, so water hazards were overflowing their boundaries and some cart paths were under water. The course offers generally nice views, but holes are a bit monotonous, as fairways are lined with the same palm trees everywhere, all the same height. But would definitely play again at the Easter special rate, but would not pay the regular rate.

We will never play this course again. We were following a six ball all the way round. Caddymaster even came out and told them they couldn’t play a six ball but they carried on. The greens were not in a bad condition, but no one has repaired any pitch marks. The type of people that they let play on this course obviously couldn’t care less. Hundreds of footprints in the bunkers not raked after being used. My recommendation is that you don’t bother to come here.
