Golf St Antonio , ex Parque da Floresta , is situated near the fishing village of Salema, near Sagres - one of the most important places in Portuguese and European history - and close to the Costa Vicentina nature reserve.|A hilly course, with sharply sloping fairways, several blind shots, and greens on hill tops, creating a strange but very pleasant effect, perfectly integrated into the landscape. As for playing the course, we feel that it becomes too tired sometimes unappealing to golfers who are not so young.

Good challenge greens in great condition, the use of a buggy is essential as the course is very hilly, (mountain goat springs to mind) would play this coarse again
Last played this course many years ago and found the course to be just as hard but enjoyable would definitely recommend
Course was in very good condition. It was not busy when we played it. Food was good.
Great course as always. Great service from tee times also. Amazing company 10/10 to all staff.
Front 9 isn’t very enjoyable it’s way to hilly with some silly holes. The 9th is the hardest hole I’ve ever played. However the back 9 has some great holes with beautiful scenery
Santo Antonio golf met our expectations of a highly enjoyable day's golf. The golf staffing seems to have been cut back a little with nobody manning the starters box to inform on flag positions, etc. The staff in the spike bar were very pleasant and efficient.
St Antonio (formerly Florista) is a really beautiful course. It's a great challenge for medium handicapped players but rather too difficult for lowly players such as myself (handicap 23). Nevertheless, it's a pleasure to play there and we'll definitely be back next year.
It is a hard golf course, especially for someone out of The Netherlands. (Really flat courses there) Due to heavy rainfall the week before our visit, the course was really soft and balls got plugged and stayed at these slopes. Difficult to recover standing below or above your ball all the time. In the end thanks to sollid putting I made an 83 and was happy with this result. Overall the views are stunning from time to time and the shop and shop staff was really kind. The clubhouse needs some work, dark and sober. The terrace is ok, but was cold in Februari. For this course I would not take the drive all the way to the west again. Well maybe, when the greenfee offer is really good again. Yes I am Dutch. ;)

We had two very enjoyable rounds. There are a few tough tee shots on the course but a very enjoyable experience. Good pint and food in the spike bar

Check in was a breeze, because it was extreme.y windy, it did color our experience. Front nine is a bit quirky but the back nine was more of a normal course. Overall though good.
I have played there first time 1992, so it is like my homecource in Algarve
A nice and relaxed round of Golf on a difficult course. Not so busy as many other courses in the Algarve. A buggy is highly recommended, even if you have to stay on the path at some holes (not only the Par 3). If you do like only flat courses, this is the wrong place for you.
Thoroughly enjoyed our game on this physically demanding course. It made our home course which is well known for its hills seem quite tame. We walked the course but would recommend a buggy, particularly as distances from green to tee can be quite long. Also, don't forget to pick up a course map as it isn't printed on the scorecard. We will probably play it again when we return next year.
Very nice and challenging course

Nice Course, sunny location,
Very nice back nine but the front nine has three silly blind holes We managed to get buggy due to a cancellation don’t know weather we could have managed to walk it Everyone was very nice and friendly
Underrated course, the cheapest I have played and one of the best lovely scenery very hilly but some of the holes are amazing
Very busy course with some VERY slow players!! Otherwise course in good condition and staff pleasant.
Undulating course. Condition was excellent. Buggies a must. Overall great value for money. Better value than some of its more illustrious neighbours.
Quick and easy ... Very happy

Golf carts need mechanical overhaul. Difficult, however enjoyable

Poorly maintained buggy roads leading to slippery and dangerous situations. Moreover, many Mickey mouse holes. Not a recommendable course.
Very friendly team, good food and a very tricky but good course. Hilly to say the least.

Played the course which is testing on previous visits. Course in good condition and good facilities including food/bar.
Excellent all was good thanks
nice course in good conditions
Nice course fairways good, greens not bad but not all the same, but enjoyable.

to hilly for me had to get out and walk most of the course as you could not take buggy on some fairways
Enjoyed the course. Fairways were in good condition but the greens had a lot of unrepaired pitch marks. However they were fast and nice to putt on the. Staff on the course were extremely courteous. My only complaint would be the price of a buggy!!!!!! at 50 euro surely the most expensive on the Algarve. As I only paid 55 euro for the round that came as a bit of a shock
Interesting and challenging course in good condition with friendly staff. Long drive to get there but well worth the effort.
Toller, ungewöhnlicher und nicht einfacher Platz
Beautiful course not for beginners
Very hilly, meaning many above / below feet fairway shots, and most penal even for the straight drives which head down the slopes. Many blind shots as well, with the 6th being painful to know where the ball has actually landed even after a straight tee shot. As you’re not allowed to use your buggies on a number of holes and due to the slopes, you can spend an age wondering where your ball has landed / ended up on the blind shots. That said, the greens were in very good condition and there are some lovely looking golf holes.
A well maintained and interesting course.

Lovely course well laid out but the worst bunkers I have experienced golfed there many times
Good experience playing at Santo Antonio as expected. It was helpful for me to be assigned to play along with others when I was alone. There is a little maintenance required on a few parts of the course - e.g. I was surprised to be playing the 18th hole from a temporary tee.
What a beautiful golf course, only spoiled by having to keep to the buggy paths, you end up walking further, up and down the hills of the fairways. Although we were in buggies I couldn't recommend this course to anyone who isn't very fit. Can't take anything away from the beauty of this golf course though, It's challenging but good scores are achievable.
First time I have played this course and it was very challenging but very picturesque. The staff where friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you want to test your game. I play off 12 and scored 89 so was happy with that. Make sure you have a buggy as it’s hilly.
Very nice course. Challenging natural profile. Hilly character and some hidden greens make for a demanding but very nice golf day. Buggy could be useful. Lovely setting of the club house and patio together with its friedly stuff make this visit perfect. Improvement suggestion. It would help guest flights which come for the first time to find complete and more destinct ' Next Tee ' indication.
very good course in excellent condition

great place in the mountains, that makes the game varied and I look forward to the next visit
Because of the topography, you have to play a second time to play it with pleasure. The course has seen better times and urgently needs maintenance so that it doesn't get any further. The brakes of all the buggies we used were in poor condition. Friendly staff and good service at the club restaurant.
Fantastic customer service picturesque course with some tough holes I eould tecommend this course
Pro shop staff very friendly and helpful. Was able to play with a couple that was more familiar. With the course and had averyenjoyable round. I found the course to be in very good shape. It had been in 2004 that I played the course last.. looking forward to playing there again.
My first visit to this cources was 1992 and I still admire its beautiful layout.
The course was well presented. We started on our tee time and had a clear hole ahead and behind us. A very enjoyable round and good food in the clubhouse..
Enjoyed the golf. Everybody was friendly and helpful.
Very nice course. We love to play there.
Very nice course, a few blind shots (tee shot 6, seconds on 8 and 10). Fairways in good shape, excellent greens. Friendly personal.
Very interesting course all enjoyed Will go back and hope for less wind
Always a pleasure to play this course great holes
First time to play this course back nine very good again staff very helpful
Really fun and enjoyable course to play, nice variety of holes. Value for money.
Be aware the course closes at 18:45 so make sure you have enough time to complete your round, we had a delay due to rain which meant time was a little tight, although we did get round in time, buggy needed otherwise it's a long walk. Super course, some great challenging holes but plays fair for all standards. Definitely recommend this course.
Always a pleasure to play.

everything was first clasd with this golf course hope to return some time in the futher

The staff was friendly and very helpful. I thought the course in pretty good condition considering it was January. Greens were fast with a lot of undulation.
Always excellent. First out in the morning - can't be beaten.
Bit disappointed that we had to wait for buggies ( very apologetic ) when we had booked them as part of the package way in advance. Should not be hard to know how many you need in a day and allocate accordingly. Course in great shape as ever, always challenging
Course has improved again under new ownership. well maintained. Very nice to play.

Lovely courses and efficient friendly people. Looked after us very well
This is the 3rd time I have played St.Antonio, we enjoy the variety of holes at the course.
Sehr hügeliger, anspruchsvoller Platz, den man taktisch klug spielen muß.
We liked mostly and played three times in same week.
beautiful scenery, nice course, buggy was fine
Course in excellent condition. 9th hole unfair golf hole due to limited landing area for economic shot followed by long 3rd. You booked us in for an extra game on the 16th. We could not play as was too foggy. Voucher given for a round up to end of October 2016
Testing course.was in good condition. Some difficult holes particularly the 9th which is the most difficult hole on the course and is unfair due to slope of the land and narrow landing area for second or third shot followed by long uphill shot to green
