A Perfect contrast with the green of this unique 27-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II, which the links holes along the beach and the great views are the highlighting points.
The New 27 Holes Palmares Golf Course designed by Trent Jones Jr reopened mid 2010 and already Golf World magazine, has recently published its ‘top 100 in Europe’ list - and Onyria Palmares is ranked 26th in Continental Europe.

We return every year and never disappoints. Played Lagos and Praia in superb condition fast greens. We played in wind so was very difficult for the higher handicaps. Must play course. Some apartments being built around the clubhouse and the directions for the buggies could be clearer as some paths blocked off.

Staff members were very accommodating as we were running late and they were able to move a group earlier and gave us their tee time. Play number one to eighteen. Much nicer than ten to twenty seven.
Excellent course. Beautiful along the ocean. Would play this course again.

Palmares is a 3 nines course, with Praia 9 running along the seafront giving it a distinct ''links'' feel. The course was in very good condition and the greens were very quick.
Tecnicals
*Undulated - Gradual sloping fairways.
*Mixt Course - Mostly Parkland, and Praia Loop offers 6 holes of pure links
*Buggy Recommended - Yes
*Signature Hole - 14th
*Water hazards - Only two holes. 3rd Hole Par 3, and 6th par 5 at Lagos loop
*Exposed - Strenght and directions of wind very important for club selection
*Dogleg -
*Comments - Nice mixture of holes, great views over Alvor bay .
