it takes to much time, to much waiting time. Service at the reception of the golf club not friendly at all. And nowadays you have to bring your gofbag down to the buggies youself and it is quiet a walk to go there. Very bad service. Food in the restaurant and service is not good anymore. One can feel the new management of the whole thing and it is not positive.

The group reservation was not clear to the club. Some timings were changed on the day itself. The course was great, but we had a lot of issues with the geofencing. It was sometimes not allow to drive on the path which gave some difficulties to go to the next holes.

Beautiful course but the day was ruined by how slow the round took We left after 9 holes due to it taken 3 hours to play the front 9 . I understand the course was busy but there was 2 groups ahead of us that held the whole golf course back we spoke to a staff member after 5 holes When the tail back to tee off was 4 groups on one tee box but noting was done about the pace of play . Again the resort and course was beautiful but run very poorly .

Étant donné les conditions, le tout devrait être mentionné afin que les gens puissent décider d'y aller ou pas. -**- Honestly, the design of the pitch is very nice. Difficult terrain. Where we were very disappointed was that the course was in general maintenance. This meant burnt fairway grass, pitted greens and no one mentioned anything when we booked. Given the conditions, this should be mentioned so that people can decide whether or not to go.

Slow back nine holes as they had booked a disabled golf competition to go off the 10th tee between 09.00 and 10.09! Our three ball teed off at 07.56 and reached the tenth at 09.30 , so after a 10 minute wait we followed three groups of disabled golfers which took 2.5 hours. The starter at the tenth hole had never seen it happen before and fitted us in.

Course Top Class. The difficulty was the 13:39 Tee Time. Amendoeira seem to have a big problem with scheduling of buggies and later than expected return of them from the morning rounds. Effectively this meant that we didn’t start our round until after 14:10 (we were luckier than others who experienced longer delays on the other Course) and the last couple of holes were then played in near darkness. Jorge - I hope that you’re aware of the scheduling problems from Celine (she was fantastic in re-arranging things at short notice) with my original booking but after this experience, I would never again select a tee time after 13:00 on either of the Amendoeira courses.

Where to start...? Completly overbooked, they give out Tee Times with Buggys but don't have by far not enough. We had a 30 min delay for our tee time till they got a Buggy back with enough power left to hold a round... Bunkers are not maintained, same goes for car path and facilities. Even with a Jewel of a course it is not worth the money!!!

Disappointingly has gone downhill significantly since our last visit pre covid. Very busy leading to waits for buggies and a 15 minute late tee off. We were a 2 ball following a 3 ball but the wait times on the tees got worse as the round progressed and by 14 already over 4 hours in we drove back to the clubhouse. The tee boxes were very poor and the course is scruffy around the edges. Greens decent in fairness. Back at the clubhouse further signs of deterioration and lack of investment. It’s expensive to play here and this was in by far the worst condition. It’s a pity as although very tough its got some great holes but needs to get back on track to make a visit worthwhile

I agree, it need to be done, but having two 18 holes courses, one can be worked on while the other is played in normal conditions. It’s been some time since I played this course. It is certainly a challenge and better to play now than two years ago. There are a couple of holes where you benefit from from experience and where they have opened up the view of the fairway. The layout is challenging to your temperament but if you play to the correct lines ( now you can see the lines) It can be rewarding.

Overall course condition has deteriorated. The tee boxes were particularly bad this time. They were covered in sand and it was virtually impossible to get a flat lie on a tee box. They need significant improvement. The service levels in the bar/terrace were also down on previous years. It wasn't particularly busy when we finished but it took over 20 minutes to get a drink. Overall, the course is ok but I don't think it is great value for money now.

All in all we were very well attended for at the club on arrival, at breakfast and on the course, really can't complain about any of that. However on our return to the bar after the round the barman had rather odd attitude. When spoken too he ignored the request so you never knew if he had heard you, so on checking with him making the request a 2nd time, he then replied ''I heard you'' he did this two or there times that I am aware of. The same was also pointed out to me by a friend. Very strange. other than this no complaint, all very good.

Beatiful and well maintained course with excellent holes and greens. However for this green fee we would expert much better facilities for walking the course. The Faldo course seems exclusively arranged for buggies since the many stone paths are very slippery to walk and the fairways can only be reached by lifting your trolley over the ropes and stone walls alongside the paths. Please allow also fit and fast playing walking golfers!

We all loved this course. The 5 hour round was a bit painful, but did not distract from how lovely the course is. Some really good holes and when you cross the road and go up this hill it is a lot of fun.

Excellent condition for a resort course and some tricky blind shots, look forward to playing it again when know where we are going. Like O'Connor, bunkers probably only disappointment, very varied in sand condition. Having played the Faldo course at Lough Erne in Northern Ireland, this one is almost as good. Buggies are essential as it would be a very long walk, up and down hills.

Superb experience but very very tough course with 'challenges' everywhere. Customer service absolutely superb - the one criticism is that I felt it was difficult for being difficult's sake. You would hit a perfectly good shot yet get penalised for it - definitely one of those courses where the 2nd round would be far better as you know what to expect.

I think the design of the Faldo course is for the low handicap player as a result I scored below what i would expect. That said the course was beautifully presented with quality greens, fairways and bunkers.

The faldo course was superb but far too busy and took over 6 hours. This was fairly ridiculous. They were the only course we played from 9 courses who didnt have a marshall and certainly the one who needed it the most.

Terracotta coloured soil contrast to the expansive golden bunkers. The full effect of the course takes shape on the back nine as players wind their way up the hillside. The 15th tee is at the peak and the complex spreads out ahead of you with its sister course, O Connor Jnr, in the distance - a great vista. All players arrived in good time and many made good use of the superb free practice facilities on offer. Betterball stableford pairs was today's format off the yellow's tee (5858mts). For the record behind these are a further two tees! The course was in superb shape and the off fairway bushes, pampas grasses and plants have given the course that extra maturity since last time I played it. Graham Newman found a stead fast partner with Bomber and carded a great 44pts to steal the show from father and son Shane and Shandon. Once again a fine spread laid on by Parkys Bar in Vilamoura.
