Laranjal Golf Course - In keeping with its reputation for excellence, Quinta do Lago takes great pride in the opening of its new and third 18 hole championship golf course, Laranjal.|Laranjal, originally an orange grove, is today a beautiful and totally different golf experience. It is a sanctuary for those seeking the finest in golf and personalized service. Its narrow fairways and well defined greens require concentration and accuracy to navigate this testing route laid out on a rolling and distinctive terrain.|It is a par 72, 6,480 meters, with five par 5s, eight par 4s, five par 3s set amongst umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees with a natural water course and 5 beautiful lakes.|Penn A4 was selected for the greens to help guarantee good putting surfaces all year round and the Fairways are sown with Bermuda.

Overall course condition and staff in Laranjal very good. Only negative was it was very slow. Particularly the first 7 holes

Lovely golf course.
Very busy pm tee off. No big deal but we waited on EVERY shot for 14 holes then got told by a marshall to hurry up as it was getting dark !! We still waited on every shot till the end.
Message could have been better delivered.
Staff are great, will be back as good set up.

Golf course in great condition although greens a little slow. Staff were without exception friendly and helpful. A delightful holiday golf course, immaculately kept.

Cracking layout. Greens could be a bit quicker and no apparent marshalling meant over 5 hours for the round.

Very nice course and very playable , in all round good condition , staff really attentive, the course itself is not as tree lined as many Portuguese golf courses , only down side was getting some verbal abuse from a “roll up” group which was on the 1st tee “why are you playing in the middle of our roll up” and then again on hole 14 asking us to “hurry up” at this time we had been on course under 3hrs , finished the 18 in 4hr 10mins (with 1 of our 4ball walking) which are think is more than acceptable and not slow. Guess you can’t please some people.

Golf course and service from the staff were excellent, however it took over 5 hours for the round, 3 times there were 16 golfers on the same hole. There were no marshals speeding play up which completely affected our enjoyment of the experience
