Dom Pedro Pinhal Golf Course was the second golf course built in Vilamoura. Several refinements were incorporated over the years. It is typified by rolling parkland terrain covered with numerous umbrella and Atlantic pines that line many of the fairways and a few even stand out on fairways or near greens.|Ponds and a stream come into play on five holes but are not serious threats to above-average golfers. To keep up with modern technical advances in clubs and balls, several holes have recently been lengthened. The clubhouse was completely renovated and modernized at the turn of the millennium and from the large verandah, one can enjoy a panoramic view over the excellent driving range and practice facilities.
Staff very friendly and service was great. The course is generally well kept although some of the tees could be better and greens had a few pitch marks
Course in OK condition, greens slow but receptive
nice un-exciting resort course. Very slow greens, Decent pace of play (4.5 hrs - but in off/on drizzle). Good driving range and warm up area (saw it but didn't use it - drizzle). getting around a bit of a pain, houses, parking lots etc, but walkable course. No memorable holes but nice overall.
Its very long Play was very slow 5 hours for round
Pinhal is in top condition and the best Dom Pedro course this summer! The tee board is still missing on hole 4 and there has been various rubbish at tee 16 since January! (Tee board is in the bushes…) Strange that there is not a single course worker who can pick up the rubbish that has been there for months. 10 points would otherwise have been within reach.
Good shape overall, but many players does not fix pitch mark at all! Tee board is completely missing on hole 4. On hole 16 at the tee, it looks like someone littered and drove over the tee board with a vehicle. For an experienced golfer, it is very annoying that the flag marking is wrong on most of the tee flags. Indicates poor commitment from course staff when cutting or placing the flags.
Only did nine holes very slow play from the group in front and marshal didn’t talk to them ?
Very slow but lovely course
Pinhal is an excellent course, very enjoyable layout and in decent condition, as per my comment on all Vilamoura courses since Dom Pedro took over, their standards are starting to slip, more money needs to be spent to get back to where they were
this course was not as well maintained as the others we played at on this trip. customer service also not as good, with no water offered with the bu ggy. when we asked for some the response was buy at the bar, you get what you pay for here'
