Vilamoura Victoria Golf Course
Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, Vilamoura’s jewel, was the most ambitious golf project in Portugal and was aimed at being one of the best golf complexes in the whole of Europe. The Victoria Golf Course is the fifth at Vilamoura and the most exclusive one at the resort, making it ideal to become the Algarve's and Portugal's major venue for top international tournaments. Palmer, whose design company has planned some 500 layouts worldwide, compiled the Victoria course project, and Southern Golf, Europe's largest golf course builder, was awarded the construction contract.|Several man-made lakes provide hazards for the players and also serve as water reservoirs for irrigation.

NIce resort (wide open) course with some challenges - great for intermediate players with distance challenge for low handicappers. Slow pace of play rangers do not move people along.

Very enjoyable but tough afternoon at Victoria. A long course and very challenging as you would expect from the host of the Portugal Masters. Its an interesting course but also long so you need to be on your game, coupled with very fast greens and difficult to read when i played. Friendly team when checking in and around the course. I would thoroughly recommend but ensure you have played a few warm up rounds to truly enjoy it otherwise at the green fee cost it can be an expensive and frustrating round.

*Undulated - Rolling fairways
*Dogleg - Mainly on the front 9
*Exposed - Wind conditions play a big part on this course
*Water hazards - More on the back 9, but are clear from the tee
*Parkland - More Heathland feel to this course
*Signature Hole - the 12th
*Comments - European Tour venue
